Vinyl Album Review – Smoke & Mirrors – Imagine Dragons
Imagine Dragons is back with their second full length studio album, Smoke + Mirrors. At eighteen tracks and over an hour in length, its undoubtedly full. Murder by Death’s new album, Big Dark Love, is a well crafted mix of sounds that urges the listener to expand their definition of modern alt rock music. It’s peppered with tracks that deserve listens, and salted with tracks that really have no place being on this, or any, album. The album is loosely separated into four parts, opening with Summer, moving to Fall, […]
Vinyl Album Review – What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World – The Decemberists
The Decemberists have a track record for blending storytelling and music into a seamless medium. They continue that record with the release of What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World. The new album is just under an hour of indie-folk rock that is guaranteed to draw listeners into their storybook. Its aesthetically pleasing, lyrically […]
Vinyl Album Review – They Want My Soul – Spoon
Spoon’s album They Want My Soul, which debuted last August, is good. That’s really the long and short of it; it’s good. It’s wonderfully crafted indie/alt-rock that checks all the boxes and clocks in as another great album in a great line of musical releases. It is rock immortalized by purity of sound and […]
